Overview
The "Silencer" insert is designed for applications where more sound reduction than the standard CC Inserts is required. Beyond having an additional disk, the center 2 disks actually have fewer holes, allowing for additional reduction in sound levels...As much as 10 decibels. These units are especially desirable in fenderwell headers and vehicles with side pipes. The use of the plug and/or restrictor caps on the center core could yield additional reduction in sound levels. One of the most versatile mufflers on the market today.

Wow! These things actually worked. I am currently just using a turn down pipe (from Jegs) connected directly to the collector of the header with the CC Silencer (with stainless steel wool) inside the turn down pipe. The lower frequency sound of the exhaust is much, much quieter.
